about

On October 14th, 2014, Houston Press Music Award nominees Dirty & Nasty (Houston, TX) release the first single off of their highly anticipated EP Sons of the Queen "Down By Law." Recorded by Benjamin Julia of the world famous Converse Rubber Tracks Studios, Down By Law is an aggressive, bombastic, in your face trip down Hip-Hop memory lane. Reminiscent of late 80s Ice Cube, Public Enemy, and filled with the righteous indignation of Rage Against the Machine, Dirty & Nasty uses the production soundscape of Barron Studios idreaminstereo to attack an industry of loyal-less, lawless promoters, artists, and fans. Also used to represent the everyday man against the equally loyal-less, lawless, and exploitive big business. Artwork provided by Shelby Hohl (FPH Sammy Award winner for Best Poster Artist).

about

Dirty & Nasty Houston

A high octane, highly intellectual Hip Hop duo from Houston, Texas comprised of Dirty Dog D (D3) & OG Nasty Nique (The Texas Chainsaw). These SXSW Converse Rubber Tracks Alumni have ripped the stage from FPSF to the streets of Atlanta during A3C. A laid back style mixed with the coolness of raw power. Sounds like Public Enemy & Run the Jewels meets EPMD on holiday in Rap's New World. ... more
